This is weirdly interesting. I thought it was coral to begin with; but I tell you what it reminds me of: There's an artist whose name I can't quite remember (may have been Steven Gould) and I saw his work at a College show. his work wasn't as 'zingy' as yours, is it paint?

Tim, yes, this is layers and layers of paint on a stucco wall...being scrapped off before a new coat of paint is applied. check out www.billdelaluz.imagekind.com and click on the abstraction & textures gallery....this is all old ,peeling paint.

I did look at your sight; I like the way these abstract paintings seem to look like things, especially like maps of the world. The process you use is quite exciting also!
