funny how you can make it look so simplistic yet interesting, with the colours and strokes. are you using digital media?

Yes and no! It was a painted background which I scanned in, so they are real paint strokes, which I inverted in Photoshop, the original paint colours were quite dark browns and blues. The bird was drawn with pastel and scanned in, then I used the inverted background to 'fill' the bird in. Thanks, glad you like it!
