It had come to my attention that the way I worked watercolors ended up being toxic to my system. I needed to find a medium that was better suited for me. That exploration through different artistic mediums taught me volumes about clay, jewelry making, mosaics, the glass arts and so much more. I kept coming back to textiles like batik and silks. Through the window of learning knitting and crochet, I learned how to create magnificent yarns. I finally realized my desire for textures and with that, started reflecting and noticing how much I had to touch things in order to understand and experience them better. Touching fibers and playing with their color enabled me to find my way to the discovery of my beautiful fiber works. I correlated what I knew about art and decided to embark on this entirely new medium. I had never seen fiber used in my way before. I fell in love with the ability to take raw fiber and paint with it in abundant ways.
