About

I have started to paint four years ago, before that I had nothing to do with art. But, since art entered my life I realized that is a world full of dreams that can be put in the reality.
In a way I am self taught but telling the truth I have spent past three years at the Vilnius Academy of Art studying painting, drawing and arts.
I was influenced a lot by Pablo Picasso, Frida Kahlo&Diego Riviera, Vincent Van Gogh, Gerogia O'Keeffe, Kitaj, Jackson Pollock and many other painters.

It's quite amazing who your influences have been. Quite a few of them also feature in my development as an artist. These days the contemporary artists that I admire are Antoni Tapies, Gerhard Richter, Anselm Kiefer, and Robert Rauschenberg.

Your use of colour is very sensitive. It brings to mind the great abstract-expressionist teacher Hans Hoffmann, and what he taught about juxtaposition of form, shape and colour. Wonderful works. I love them!
