Sounds exciting Maureen, keep us informed on how it goes, what date is it being held?
I'm sure it won't take long for you to understand your new camera, just use it as much as possible and have fun with it, trial and error learning can produce some great results, I love those happy accident pieces of work, it's the person using the camera that is the most important thing rather than the technical ability, you have a a great eye for color and composition so you already have the hardest part of using a new camera covered.
Tokyo as a city can be stressful at times due to the high population and lack of open space, fortunately, the surrounding areas are wonderful, Japanese countrysides and it's wildlife are very beautiful indeed, the colors in the springtime are just incredible.
Good luck with setting up the exhibition, I'm sure it will be a successful and an enjoyable event.

Thanks for the encouraging feedback. I am feeling a bit nervous about it all at the moment as I am about to take part in an "open studios" event which means in my case, staging an exhibition at home and showing people your work with the hope that they might buy it! I have a new camera, a Panasonic Lumix, which has a very powerful telephoto lens but I am really not understanding how to focus it properly. When this is all over, will spend more time getting to understand it, as it obviously has great potential if you know how! How are you enjoying Tokyo?
