Thanks! I love the tension between smooth and rough surfaces, I get strange results by firing at a much higher cone then the glaze recommends. It's unpredictable , but it makes for beautiful results.
Accidents often turn out better than intentions in Art, and experimentation usually pays off too. I like your idea of surfaces working together because of their differing textures, and it really works! I 'm interested in the way curves work with geometrically acurate shapes, which was one of the reasons why I chose this image to comment on first, as the shapes of each object are so different from one another; as well as the different textures.
