Stretesky – Kelli Stretesky

Drawing ever since I can remember, art officially became a part of my life at age 7 when I won my first illustration competition in support of my native statewide campaign called Don't Lay That Trash On Oklahoma. Soon to follow was a winning anti-drug illustration, The Thrill That Kills, which was printed on t-shirts and distributed across the region. During my teenage years, it was paintings and drawings that won state competitions, and my writing was published nationally.
I departed high school with an artists' grant from the Goddard Center and began my college career at the University of Oklahoma. Before long, I left for the world renowned Tisch School of the Arts Maurice Kanbar Institute of Film & Television at New York University. Despite accolades in cinematography from FAMU, one of the premier film schools in Europe, a degree and work experience in film and television, I've returned to my favorite passions of painting and design.
Recently I showcased First Impression at the New York Public Library and my works are displayed throughout New York City, as well as Studio 107 and www.stretesky.com. I live and work in Manhattan pursuing my careers as a painter and as a designer for my newly launched fashion tees Stretesky.
