These works made me think about the concept of 'perceived' and 'actual' value in art. If the value were perceived by the imperfections of the piece, the value would be perceived as being low, related to quality. That these works were assisted by the love and time of friends and family, most art novices, I am reminded of the true or actual value of these works (consider the 'creative value' of a rose or any object in the actual world that we as artists represent)>
