Hate modern art. It ruins everything that great painters left behind. I find it very foolish. I mean,l am an artist if l split pink color on the paper or just ''parget'' it. You finis your job in five minutes or less.

I don't agree, if there was no change, we would still be in 19th century....But I'm not a painter....

Yowana
Yes,there must be some change but not like this. This is deformity of art.

just to explain you my point of view...by being a photographer, I like to capture what "clicks" in me, be it the sistine chapelle, an expressive face, a piece of white paint on a red wall...I do not discriminate. I like to treat every subject the same way. In that way, I identify myself more with a visual artist, rather than photographer and I'm definitily not a painter.
Art is not static, it's not objective, there is not ONE true...so I like to keep my mind as open as possible to many languages, Hiper-realism? Abstraccionism?, Minimalism?...they're just Isms...

Ok,l respect your opinion. But l have mine also. l will go now and put bananas on the broken chair and add some boiled eggs. Now l am a great artist.

I respect your opinion too. It,s rare and nice to debate these thoughts.
That banana thing might be a great idea! #)

I think that art is an expression of aesthetic, which has to do with human activity, it may be understood as an object of study, reflection and projection of a feeling, emotion or even idea ...
having considered your disposal cordial conversation i disagree with both:
I shall explain, in my opinion there is no modern art, contemporary or any other type of art so i put this idea to many other issues, not interest me [though I consider myself extremely curious and investigate] what does this mean ... is that we do to create art or anything that we know ... therefore, we must learn to respect and consider the prospects and projections of each as a learning method and even inspiration.
For you that I follow your work for some time, Verdusk, I say that I really am your fan of these new experiences with regard to painting ...
For you Yowana it seems to me that your criticism can truly become a work of art, thinking that this world of artists sometimes what is right is wrong and the reverse also applies ... because, truly a slave is one who believes free! I really hope that your idea is never planned by another artist!
I commend your courage and join your work apart from "post-Anark" i say in my way to insert it in another topic i'd like to see you explore:
"Less is More" - believing that accepted the challenge and promise for sure coming great works ...images, photographs or paintings ...
Humbly,

There is MODERN art. We must break apart every century, every movement. I did not construct name MODERN,it exists in our today's nowadays, history of today.

Is this battle of pictorialist vs. abstract?
I thank that battle can never be won...As far as Modern, it's over. There is no more Modern! I's 20th Century!!! No one knows in what mess art is these days...Fuck Art!

There is Modern. And it is 21th century.

verdusk
Modern refers to the period between the begginning of the 20th Century till the 60's....Then they called it "Post-Modern"...
Now there is Contemporary art...

Classic discussion.. art comes in all forms imho i tend to equated 'modern' art to looking though a magnifying glass or microscope...because usually you dont know what you are looking at util you see the bigger picture..
