A Korean-born, native French speaker, creative director, visual artist and photographer, Vincent Sung, 41, was born in Pusan and adopted at age 3 by a Belgian family. He lived and studied (Visual Arts) in Brussels and in Mons-Bergen before becoming the assistant to a renown Belgian fashion photographer. In 1994, after working for a number of Belgian fashion magazines (Marie Claire, Marie Claire bis) and advertising campaigns, he moved to Paris. While living there he worked with a variety of Parisian modeling agencies, building model's portfolios. His Korean roots called him back to visit Seoul in June 1995 for his first ever (return) flight to the Asian continent.
After landing in Seoul and visiting all over Korea, he fell in love with his birth country. Another encounter with ELLE Korea fashion editor, was the final decision to make him decide to move back in 1996. He has since worked for Korean editions of prominent international fashion magazines such as ELLE, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire and Korean luxury magazines. He travels often on assignments between Europe and Asia. At present, he divides his time between Seoul, Bangkok, Bali and recently Hanoi.
